When booking a KLM Holidays package trip, you enter into an agreement with Airtrade, who is affiliated to ANVR and SGR as well as the Calamity fund, which guarantees that your trip is properly insured.

Flying Blue

When booking a KLM Holidays package trip, you receive Flying Blue Miles for your flights. Simply fill in your Flying Blue number when making you booking and the Miles are automatically added to your tally after you have completed the flight.

All of the usual KLM services and all the benefits of Flying Blue are covered by KLM Holidays (with the exception of flights operated by Transavia). 
The booking costs are € 10 per booking and there is a € 2.50 surcharge per booking for the Calamity fund and a € 5 SGR contribution per person. 
Yes, this discount is included in the total price. The price per person is the total price divided by the total number of passengers in the group. Children that are younger than 2 years old on the outbound and homebound journey will travel on their parents’ lap.

Yes, all trips start from Amsterdam.
Unfortunately, that is not (yet) possible. 
The minimum duration of a KLM Holidays trip is two nights. The maximum duration of a trip is 22 days.
Yes, you can specify separate beds, upper floors, sea views and other requirements by contacting the Airtrade service team on 088-24787 90 or by email: klmholidays@airtrade.nl . We cannot guarantee that your preferences will be available.
Fill in your name exactly as given on your passport. If you have multiple given names, you should only fill in the first one. If you are married, you only have to fill in your birth/maiden name. After booking, the names on the ticket may be listed in a different order, without spaces and with MR, MRS or MS added in between. If there is an error in your name, you will have to pay a surcharge to correct it. 

No, corona measures no longer apply to holiday destinations that we offer with KLM Holidays. Other measures may still be in place. Be well prepared for your trip and check the travel advice on the Foreign Affairs website.

In most cases, the ticket price does not include hold baggage. During booking, please check for the suitcase icon, which will be listed with your flight details. 

Checked baggage can be added when making the booking. If you want to book extra checked baggage after finalizing your booking, you can do so from four weeks before departure via My Trip on KLM.nl. Please log in with your booking code.


If your KLM Holidays booking includes flights operated by Transavia, you can book extra baggage via transavia.com. If you have booked a trip with a partner airline, baggage can be added during online check-in.

Yes, you can. Check our extensive range of options and select your favourite seat aboard your European or intercontinental flight. If you wish to book seats, you can do so via My Trip on KLM.nl. Please log in with your booking code. 

Yes, the regular change conditions apply. You may only alter a booking if this is permitted by the terms and conditions of the chosen service provider (airline, hotel supplier, car rental company). This is calculated per package element. The customer will have to cover all costs charged by providers if any change is made. In addition, Airtrade charges €35 per person in administration costs for any changes made to a booking or parts of the booking.

Yes, the regular change conditions apply. Changing a booking is only possible if the rate conditions of the chosen service providers (airline, hotel supplier, car rental company) allow this. Additional costs must be calculated per package element. All costs charged by the service provider in the event of a change are borne by the client. In addition, Airtrade charges €35 per person in administration costs for any changes made to a booking or parts of the booking.
If there is a price difference, the remaining amount of the new booking will be determined based on the down payment amount. 
You will incur 100% cancellation costs if you cancel a KLM Holidays booking, unless cancellations are permitted by the terms and conditions of the selected service providers (airline, hotel supplier, car rental company). In that case, you will receive (part of) your money back. Airtrade charges €35 per person in administration costs for making such changes. It is not possible to cancel just one element of your KLM Holidays booking. In case of cancellation, all elements of your KLM Holidays booking will be cancelled.
That is possible if all service providers participating in your KLM Holidays package trip (airline, hotel supplier, car rental company) permit this in their terms and conditions. Airtrade charges €35 per person in administration costs for making such changes.
A name correction is only allowed if this is permitted by the terms and conditions of the chosen service providers (airline, hotel supplier, car rental company). The service provider may charge additional costs for making such changes. Airtrade charges €35 per person in administration costs for making such changes. Please contact the Airtrade Customer Service Centre to make changes (088-24787 90).

Everybody wants to book their holidays confident and without any risks. If you book your holidays with a travel organization that is associated with the SGR, you’re guaranteed of extra certainty. The SGR covers the cost if the travel organization of your booking is facing financial difficulties. In this case, you do not lose the money of your booking, but the SGR makes sure that your costs are covered. We will charge a contribution of € 5 per person for this. The amount of your SGR contribution will show during the booking process of KLM Holidays.

Your safety is our top priority. We strive to let our passengers feel safe and comfortable not only during their flight, but also during their holidays. A packaged trip of KLM Holidays gives you automatically the guarantee of repatriation in case of a calamity. Together we discuss the correct safety approach based on the available information and the circumstances at your destination. It is possible that you can proceed your holidays with the necessary safety measures, but in case you are forced to leave immediately, we take care of this. Note: the guarantee for repatriation is only applicable to a KLM Holidays package trip. This does not apply by definition to regular tickets.

You can pay via iDEAL, Visa, Mastercard or American Express. In addition, you can also pay in instalments via a down payment.
Yes, you can. If you choose to make a down payment, you pay 50% of the total amount, plus the booking fee, consumer contribution SGR and calamity fund, when making the booking. Any cancellation insurance should also be paid immediately. The other 50% must be paid by six weeks before departure. After booking, you will receive a payment link for the second part. Seven weeks before departure, you will receive a reminder.
If your departure is within six weeks of booking, it is not possible to make a down payment. The total amount must be paid at the time of booking.
Yes, this can be done using the payment link in the email you receive after completing the booking. The second instalment can be paid anytime between your booking date and six weeks before departure.
We may cancel the booking if the second instalment is not paid on time. In that case, you are not entitled to a refund of the first payment instalment.
A KLM Holidays package trip may include flights to over 140 destinations served by KLM and partners (incl. Transavia). This includes European and intercontinental destinations.
That is not possible at present.
Car rental at KLM Holidays is offered via Sunny Cars. A car rental via Sunny Cars always concerns all-inclusive insurance. This way you avoid unexpected costs and we make sure you can drive without any concerns.

The following insurances are included in the price of a KLM Holiday that includes car rental:

• Unlimited mileage;
• Extra third-party cover of € 7.5 million;
• Damage insurance (CDW);
• Theft insurance (TP);
• Repayment of own risk;
• Insurance for glass, tire, chassis and paint damage.


You do not have to take any extra insurance on site. The main booker of the trip is also the main driver of the rental car and should be between 25 and 65 years of age. If you are outside this age category, please contact Airtrade. The main driver should hold a valid credit card (with PIN code) in his/her name. 

KLM Holidays are currently only available in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. 
Yes, all Flying Blue benefits also apply to the flights within your KLM Holidays booking. Your flights also count for your Flying Blue member status, on condition that cardholders themselves complete the flight.
Yes, you earn Flying Blue Miles for the flights you complete as part of your KLM Holidays package trip, as stipulated in the terms and conditions of the Flying Blue programme. Flying Blue Miles are only earned by passengers who actually make use of their ticket.
You can use Flying Blue Miles to buy a KLM Holidays discount voucher in the Flying Blue Store, valued at €100 (15,714 Miles), €150 (23,714 Miles) or €200 (31.429 Miles) per booking. You can also use Miles to book extra baggage, meals or a seat. Go to My Trip on klm.nl and log in with your booking code. You can only use an EMD voucher to book individual flights; i.e. not if they are part of a KLM Holiday package trip.
No, you can no longer earn blue credits for bookings made from 26 August 2024 onwards. On bookings made before this date, you will earn blue credits according to the bluebiz programme conditions that apply to the flights of your KLM Holidays package trip. 
KLM Holidays is offered by KLM in cooperation with Airtrade. Airtrade is a travel fulfilment technology company, founded in 1989. Since February 2021 KLM has taken a strategic interest in Airtrade, which means that they are now part of the KLM Group.

When you book a KLM Holidays package trip, an agreement is concluded with Airtrade. Airtrade is associated with IATA, ANVR and SGR and takes care of the complete administrative processing of KLM Holidays, varying from booking confirmation up to customer service.
